Merchant's House Museum

The Merchant's House Museum, at 29 East Fourth Street in Manhattan, is one of eleven buildings in the NoHo Historic District. The house, which was built in 1832, was occupied by the Tredwell family from 1835-1933. Visiting the museum, one can get a feeling of what life was like in old New York.

Cathedral of Saint John the Divine


The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine is on Amsterdam Avenue, in the Morningside Heights area of Manhattan. It is the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of New York.  Construction of the massive Cathedral was begun in 1892 and is still unfinished.
