Last Day Of February

The end of February - finally.  Now to March and a warmer climate for a few days!

Birds

   

The birds and ducks and wildlife are having a tough time getting food with the month-long cold spell we're having -- hope it doesn't last too much longer!

Snowy Beach

While it's quite beautiful to look at -- this snow and cold weather is just lasting a bit too long!

Blue Sky

A blue sky today and a bit warmer (if 38 degrees is warm) -- just waiting for spring!

Bluebird

Occasionally during the winter -- Bluebirds arrive in my backyard -- they are just charming and always a welcome sight!

Icicles

I don't know if all of the snow we've had will ever melt!

Frozen

No boating today -- the sound is frozen -- although it was balmy today -- 34 at the beach!!

More Snow

Some more snow today and still cold -- the winter season drags on...............

It's been so cold that the salt water in Long Island Sound is beginning to freeze.

Today is President's Day - but this amazing window display at Saks Fifth Avenue really caught my eye - glowing red on a gray day.

A nice sunny day today - but very cold.  Not too cold for skating.

Got to go to The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday -- Guests were Tom Hanks and musician Sturgill Simpson -- lots of fun!!

The snow certainly is lovely -- but it's difficult to get around -- where's spring?!

Snow Beach

It's very strange to see snow on the beach - but this winter - the snow isn't going anywhere.  Today was just warm enough to be able to take a walk along the water's edge.

Old/New

Another snowy Monday -- another day snowed in. Time to clean out the closets -- the sandals on the left  had a lot of wear last summer - time to bring out a fresh pair for the up-coming spring and summer!

Winter

A true New England winter this year -- plenty of snow and cold weather.

I hope the snow pile on Main Street is cleared -- we're expecting more snow tomorrow and Monday.....again.

A crazy day to go for a walk on the beach - 25 degrees and gusty winds - but it was just lovely anyway!
