A snow-covered formal garden takes on a new look -- quite dramatic but still lovely.

The mysterious remains of some sort of structure -- all that's left is the chimney and stone foundation -- in the woods of Wilton.

Weir Farm

Weir Farm is a National Park Historic Site in Wilton Connecticut.  The farm and the adjoining land and out-buildings have been preserved -- you feel as if you've stepped back in time.

On The Farm

Winter in New England is simply stunning.  It's wonderful to take a walk on the farm when the sun is shining -- but at 13 degrees - make sure to wear hat and gloves!

Icicles

Icicles everywhere -- a little melting  today -- but cold again tomorrow.  Winter goes on.

Cold

Another cold, cold day -- we're really experiencing winter this year!

Everything's frozen -- even the rivers are freezing up.  A little more snow today....again.

It's Too Cold

It may look like a lovely day -- but it's cold.  The deep freeze continues -  it was a little warmer today, though -- it reached 20 degrees!

Flying

Well, at least someone was enjoying the weather today.  Too cold for me!

More Snow

We had more snow fall yesterday and last night ---- so we're back to a winter wonderland!

I tried to take a walk at the beach this afternoon but it was sooooo windy - I literally almost flew away!  Better to go home and have some afternoon tea.

The Stage

The stage of Carnegie Hall - for Neil Young's acoustic performance - included many guitars, a banjo, 2 exquisite pianos and an antique organ - amazing!

The elegant Carnegie Hall was filled to the brim last night for an acoustic Neil Young Concert!

Freezing!

It's been so cold for the past few days - even the salt water is freezing!  Today - with the sun shining and the temperature at 30 -- it felt balmy!

Dreaming of Summer

Not so long ago it was warm --- dreaming of the warmth of summer --- and Lambert's Cove Beach!

On this freezing cold winter day - the temperature didn't go over 10 degrees -- I'm thinking back to August - warm breezes, green grass, flowers..........

The day started with a thick cover of fog  --  clearing later in the day.  Tomorrow we are expecting frigid temperatures!

Dreary Day

Kind of a dreary day - with freezing rain all day long.  One of those days to stay inside!

The first snow of the new year -- just a few inches overnight.  Just enough to close schools and make everything beautiful!

The Holidays

Well, I guess the holidays are over - it's just about time to take the tree down.  I'm glad I was able to see the Rockefeller Center tree - this late the crowds are not horrendous.  Getting ready for a snowstorm tomorrow!
