We were a little surprised this morning - as was this cardinal - to see that several inches of snow had fallen unexpectedly overnight.

Farmington Connecticut - originally settled in 1640 - has a Main Street that is lined with antique homes - each one totally charming and unique.

Cannondale

Cannondale is a charming section of Wilton - when you enter - you feel as if you have been transported to a village in the past.  There are several cute shops as well as restaurants and an old fashioned train station.

Belvedere Castle in Central Park is a magical place to visit - high atop the castle's turret is the weather station for New York City.

Just a dusting of snow overnight had melted by midday - leaving a very nice Saturday afternoon.

Nice View

Sugar Plum finds a nice spot inside - to take in the view of the action in the

 back yard.  Snow tomorrow?  Maybe.

Canoe

During this remarkably mild winter - someone has found that they can leave their canoe out - and use it on any one of the beautiful days that we're having.

Old Westport

In olden time Westport, the Saugatuck River came right up to the back of the houses and stores on Main Street - then they put in Parker Harding parking lot. There is still a section  behind Main Street that shows us exactly how it must have looked back then. 

The Swanee River

On a bright and sunny winter day - the swans were out enjoying themselves on the Saugatuck River in downtown Westport.

The Bowery Hotel

The Bowery Hotel, located on the Bowery - on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, offers complimentary bicycles - just in case you want to go for a spin around the East Village.

Big Blue

Super Bowl Sunday and the New York Giants win!!  The Empire State Building is glowing - in Giants Blue for the occasion.
