Beach-Combing

The beach at Pine Point in Rowayton is a wonderful place to go beach-combing. The recent storm washed up all sorts of sea glass and shells - however it destroyed the seawall that has been standing for as long as I can remember.

The Sun is Back

After a week filled with rain - the sun did return today and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

Well   ---   my daughter needed to use the computer because she put off doing her homework - so I missed yesterday's post.  This flock of wild turkeys ran through my yard yesterday.  It was a good day for ducks, geese and turkeys.  Maybe we'll see a little more sun today.

It was a beautiful summer day, but there was no swimming at Compo Beach because of contamination from Irene.

Compo Beach in Westport was devastated by the high tide, wind and waves of
the storm. Much rebuilding will be needed in order to bring the beach back to it's beauty.
