Beach In Winter

Winter arrived early this morning  - though you'd never know it - with temperatures near 60.  This seagull enjoyed a rather quiet, peaceful day at the beach.

In the front window of the Flatiron Building in Manhattan is this eye-catching art installation of coffee cups suspended in mid-air.  Each one is individually decorated and each one is equally beautiful!

These trees along 58th Street in Manhattan are wrapped in lights - adding beautifully to the holiday cheer.

A little white squirrel and his friend play with the stunning jewels in the exquisite holiday windows of Bergdorf Goodman on Fifth Avenue.

Fendi

Fifth Avenue was packed with shoppers and sightseers a week before Christmas Eve - all the stores decorated for the season.  Fendi was especially festive - glittering with faux icicles.

Santa Claus was seen hiding behind the barn at Maple Row Tree Farm in Easton.  With only 9 days left until Christmas it's time to get your Christmas tree and do any other errands before it's too late!

The day was quite warm for December, but it was a little breezy at Compo Beach . Still, a very nice day to take a walk at the beach!

The holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman are always spectacular - this year is no exception.  They are so imaginative and absolutely gorgeous!

The Pulitzer Fountain

A trip to New York on the day of the "tree lighting" - which I didn't see  -  I did see some festive windows and some exhibits at the Met.  The beautiful Pulitzer Fountain in front of The Plaza Hotel was decorated for the season with hundreds of Christmas trees.

Put Away The Pumpkins?

With Thanksgiving over and only one more day of November - it's just about time to put away the pumpkins and get out the Christmas decorations.

Warm November

One more warm day for an unusually mild November - we have had  a wonderful autumn but December is not far off.

More Kayaking!

Another wonderful warm November day!  I've been so lucky to get a few more days of kayaking in before I have to bring my kayak home for the winter - in about 2 weeks. I have been making the most of the  60+ degree days this month!

Trout Brook Valley

Trout Brook Valley is a nature preserve in Weston and Easton, Connecticut with wonderful trails for humans, dogs and horses to enjoy.

Bittersweet

A vibrant patch of Bittersweet sparkles in the afternoon sun.  Though very colorful, Bittersweet is a pesky vine that spreads quickly if allowed to grow.
