The day before Christmas Eve was lovely. It was spent running a few last minute errands - and then taking a stroll and watching the gorgeous sunset in Southport.
Winter arrived early this morning - though you'd never know it - with temperatures near 60. This seagull enjoyed a rather quiet, peaceful day at the beach.

Fifth Avenue was packed with shoppers and sightseers a week before Christmas Eve - all the stores decorated for the season. Fendi was especially festive - glittering with faux icicles.

The American Wing in The Metropolitan Museum of Art has an outstanding collection of beautiful Tiffany pieces - this colorful panel is just a portion of a stained glass window by Tiffany.
A trip to New York on the day of the "tree lighting" - which I didn't see - I did see some festive windows and some exhibits at the Met. The beautiful Pulitzer Fountain in front of The Plaza Hotel was decorated for the season with hundreds of Christmas trees.
Another wonderful warm November day! I've been so lucky to get a few more days of kayaking in before I have to bring my kayak home for the winter - in about 2 weeks. I have been making the most of the 60+ degree days this month!
